Some time ago I realized that I was viewing the world in frames. Whatever was beyond the scope of its boundary ceased to exist.
Surrounded now by years of images it seems that just the opposite has occurred - there never were boundaries.
An infinitely powerful tool for contemplating the world, imagery allows us to participate, imagine, understand, and dream. My chosen trade seems similar to literature or carpentry. A good image tells a worthy story or feels like a well crafted chair whether of driftwood or teak.
My favorite photographs are those that I return to and see differently with the passing of time.
